Q: How long do you guys play for?

Two hours with a break normally but we can be flexible.  Sometimes we do a short first set and then a longer one (when everyone’s had a few drinks).  Or we can play one big long set.

Q: What songs do you play?

We’ll put together a setlist especially for your event from our large playlist.  Unlike a lot of bands though, we won’t stick to it like glue.  Instead we prefer to play to the crowd and if people are up dancing to say, The Jam, we’ll quickly switch the order to play more of the same.  Like a good DJ would.  We also know a few more songs that aren’t on the list, so you can always ask.

Q: Do you play weddings?

If you like our setlist, we'd be happy to.  We’re a party band but we’re not a cheesy suited-and-booted function band though (though we will turn up looking smart).  Book us if you want something a bit different.  We tend to put the more mainstream of the tunes on the setlist for weddings and shelve the non-romantic ones, so if you really want “Is She Really Going Out With Him” or “Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t Have Fallen In Love With)” at your nuptials, don’t forget to ask!

Q: We’re having a wedding - any tips?

Put the band on as late as poss.  The meal will over-run and people don’t want to get up and dance straightaway.  Find out from the venue what time the music has to stop and work backwards.  Lots of people only notice there’s a band on right at the end of the night when they’ve had a chat with everyone, done a drive-by on the buffet and downed a few drinks.  Oh and by the way, don’t wheel out the buffet when the band’s on - it always empties the dancefloor.  Even we can’t compete with a table full of food!

Q: Do we need to hire a DJ as well?

It’s up to you.  If you’ve got a big venue and a big budget, go for it.  It means the music carries on seamlessly when we’re not on.  That said, for parties and small weddings, we’re happy to run our iPod through our PA system, so there’s always some good music on.  Or if you’ve got an iPod or similar, do a big playlist of your favourites party tunes and we’ll plug it into our PA.

Q: How much room do you need?

We need a good sized area to perform in and it needs to be away from fire exits and store cupboards etc.  It’s quite important that we’re not blocking anything as it’s difficult to move once we’re set-up.  We’re only a three-piece but we do need a bit of room please - 4m x 3m is a good minimum.  We also need a few power points in that space, otherwise we’ll be playing acoustic!

Q: What equipment do we need to supply?

None - we bring everything we need.  We’ve also got a small lighting kit which lights us up and a bit of the dancefloor too.  It’s enough for small rooms but if it’s a big venue, we might need to think about hiring some stuff in.  We also have a smoke machine that we use in the venues that let us.

Q: Do we need to feed you?

If it’s a wedding or a party, yes please.  It’s not very rock and roll bringing a packed lunch with us.  Plate of sarnies or a go at the buffet before we go on is fine, plate of hot food is much appreciated though.

Q: The venue’s got a sound limiter - what’s that about?

These are devices that trip the power when the sound’s too loud.  They’re usually installed when neighbours complain about the venue being too noisy.  The trouble is, they usually trip as soon as the band starts, so you need to ask the venue if they have a solution, otherwise it can be a problem.

Q: What experience have you got?

As a band, we’ve played at weddings, NYE parties, 30th, 40th, 50th and even 60th birthday parties, big pubs, small pubs, bars, hotels, in tents, marquees and at outdoor music festivals.  Individually, we’ve all played in other bands too, so have lots of experience of playing live.

Q: Where can I see you play?

We do play in pubs but the setlist tends to be a bit different to parties and weddings, so bear this in mind when you come and see us.  We sometimes play slower or more random stuff at pub nights and the performance is a bit more laid back.  At a party or wedding with a crowd in front of us, we’re a lot more lively!  If you make it to a gig though, come and say hello.

Q: We think you’re great - can we book you?

Thanks!  Best thing to do is send an email with all the details on to us and one of us will get back to you asap.
